“Abigail is one of our hardest workers. She comes in with a smile almost everyday, showing both management and the team that she is ready to work, and uplift the energy in the room. She never stops working, she strives for excellence always and loves to bring others into it.”
Avery Fink
- Prior Leadership Boss/Mentor
To whoever has the pleasure of reading this testimonial:
“Abigail is empathetic, loyal, and others-focused. She serves without pretense and humbly champions people to be the best versions of themselves. She is honest and authentic. She is who she is and can never hide it (even if she tries to). Her vibrancy fills any room she walks in. She is fun, loud, trendy and really cool. Everyone wants to be her friend and everyone wants to be just like Abigail.
Abigail is virtuous and reliable. She is someone with high standards and a very high capacity. You can give her any job and know it will get done with excellence. Mediocrity is not found in her vocabulary- I’m sure of it. She will not lower her standards for anyone or for anything. If you are working with her or for her, you will always rise to her standards. And this isn’t because she is domineering or mean, it’s because she is a great leader who is unwavering in her desire to be great. People naturally want to follow her and do things “her way” because she is a magnamic, steady and trustworthy leader. They want to do a great job because she is in it with them and they respect her.
Abigail is fiercely inviting. I know this seems aggressive or even maybe counterintuitive for the word “inviting” but it’s the perfect word to describe Abigail’s desire for people to feel seen and embraced. Her presence is consistently both warm and welcoming. It doesn’t matter what age you are; your interests; your hobbies; what color your hair is; your culture; your personality; or even if you're on the spectrum- Abigail’s goal in any interaction will always be that you feel deeply cared for and loved. She values people all the same and wants them to feel celebrated in her presence (shame is not in her vocabulary either). There is nothing too burdensome, messy, or scary for her- she sits with people like no one else. Her warmth is gentle but potent; and her love for people is tenacious yet so natural.
Abigail is reverent. She has a faith worth following. She is patient, strong, courageous, meek, gracious, and driven all through her faith in Christ. Everything she does flows from her faith. She is all the things I said above because she wants to look like Jesus. I can honestly say I know Him more because of my friendship with her.
I have been the Women’s Director at Pine Cove’s high school camp in east Texas for the past three years and have worked on staff for Pine Cove for the past eight. I have worked with a lot of women and genuinely befriended many of those I’ve hired/worked with. To be Abigail’s boss and friend has been one of the greater pleasures and gifts that my job has given me.”
